Meta Officially Unveils NFT Sharing Feature For US Based Facebook And Instagram Users

In a recent announcement made by Meta, Facebook’s parent company, US-based Instagram and Facebook users can now connect their wallets to share their digital collectibles across the platforms.

The Cross-Posting Digital Collectibles Feature Is Now Live On Facebook And Instagram 

In an announcement made by social media giant Meta, the company has finally rolled out its NFT sharing feature, enabling its US-based users to connect their wallets and share their digital collectibles across Facebook and Instagram.

Meta had earlier announced that the firm is currently in the testing phase and may soon launch the NFT sharing feature for its users and clients.

In addition, the firm further announced that users will also be able to cross-post digital collectibles they own across both platforms.

“Today we’re announcing that everyone on Facebook and Instagram in the US can now connect their wallets and share their digital collectibles. This includes the ability for people to cross-post digital collectibles that they own across both Facebook and Instagram.  Additionally, everyone in the 100 countries where digital collectibles are available on Instagram can now access the feature.” the statement later adds 

With the official rollout of the feature, Instagram and NFT users in the US can now seamlessly connect their crypto wallets like Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase, and Dapper Wallet to post NFTs on both Instagram and Facebook at the same time.

Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, first announced his intention to integrate NFTs on Instagram and Facebook in March 2022. The company later experimneted with a handful of US-based clients before publically announcing that NFTs are coming to Facebook and Instagram in June 2022.

With the official rollout of the NFT sharing feature across 100 countries, Meta intends to bolster its presence in the cryptocurrency domain.  The company is further planning to expand its base and launch new crypto-based projects. The firm is reportedly working on launching custom animations for NFTs posts and digital collectibles. Along with that, Meta had earlier desired to foray into the digital marketplace space by launching its own NFT marketplace.
